Jeff Hebrank guest speaker at FETTI conference 10/1/2009

Jeff's presentation on erionite was given on October 1. Erionite, named for the Greek word for "wool", is a fibrous mineral that belongs to the Zeolite group of minerals. Well recognized as a carcinogen, it has been said to be more potent than even crocidolite for the causation of mesothelioma. Erionite was once thought to be present only in Turkey, but it actually is present throughout the world, including in the United States. Erionite may be a contaminant in products that utilize zeolites as ingredients.
