As a trial attorney for over 30 years, he has tried numerous jury cases to conclusion in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest. He has been involved in the defense of many federal white-collar investigations involving health care fraud and corporate accounting fraud over the last 10 years. He has also defended more than a dozen clergy abuse matters. On the appellate level, he has argued over 30 cases before the Seventh and Eighth United States Circuit Courts of Appeals and before the Supreme Courts of Missouri and Illinois.
Among his representation for numerous corporate clients, he has, for example, handled Prairie Farms Dairy's litigation in Southern Illinois and throughout Missouri, as well as major natural gas incidents for Laclede Gas Company in St. Louis, Missouri and medical negligence cases for several St. Louis and Southern Illinois hospitals and providers.
