Hay and Brandabur Secure Defense Verdict in Malpractice Trial

After a week-long trial, HeplerBroom attorneys Linda Hay and Matthew Brandabur secured a complete defense victory for their client, a periodontist. The case involved a Plaintiff who alleged a dental implant was placed too close to her inferior alveolar nerve in her lower right jaw and caused permanent pain and numbness to her lip and chin.

Plaintiff's attorneys asked for $2.3 million in damages but were unsuccessful in persuading jurors that the periodontist was professionally negligent in the placement of Plaintiff's implant.

Hay, a partner, and Brandabur, an associate, focus their respective practices on professional liability cases. Both attorneys are based in the firm's Chicago office.
