Isaac Melton obtained a favorable defense verdict in a recent Cook County personal injury case. Plaintiff had asked for approximately $475,000. Instead, after 90 minutes of deliberations, the jury awarded the plaintiff $4,000. The claim involved a motor vehicle accident that happened as the parties were headed to a Steely Dan concert at Northerly Island. Plaintiff claimed injuries including an injury to her back, which eventually resulted in a fusion surgery.

Melton, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on first- and third-party insurance defense and insurance coverage cases, along with fraud and bad faith litigation.
