Hammond to Discuss Relationship Between Insurance In-House and Outside Counsel
Rick Hammond will be a featured speaker at DRI’s Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute, which is being held in Chicago on April 1-3. He and Seth Kleinman, an in-house counsel for AmeriTrust Group, Inc., will discuss ways of building a professional relationship between in-house and outside counsel so the two can work together to successfully handle case litigation. Hammond, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on matters relating to property insurance coverage, fire and explosion cases, and bad faith. He also serves as an expert witness on insurer bad faith and as an adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at Loyola University Chicago Law School. In addition, he is a member of Loyola University Chicago’s Board of Trustees and Past President of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
