Nickelson Appointed to Philanthropic Committee
Rebecca Nickelson, a partner in the St. Louis office, has been appointed to the Philanthropic Activities Committee of DRI (Defense Research Institute). This appointment was made by DRI’s president, John Cuttino. As part of this committee, she will also serve as chair of the Public Service subcommittee.
Nickelson’s charge as chair of the Public Service subcommittee is twofold: to promote public service through all of DRI’s committees and to garner support for both the DRI Foundation and the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE).
Through tax-exempt gifts and grants, the DRI Foundation funds law-related public service projects, supports the judicial system, and furthers the interests of the defense bar. The NFJE supports a strong, independent, responsive judiciary by providing officers of the courts with educational programs and other tools that enable them to perform at their highest level.
