Hammond Spoke at American College of Coverage Counsel Annual Meeting
Rick Hammond was one of the featured speakers at the annual meeting of the American College of Coverage Counsel. Hammond was part of a panel discussing Ensuing Loss Clause, an often confusing property insurance coverage provision. (For a copy of the paper he authored on this subject, please contact Hammond directly.) The meeting, which was held in Chicago on May 8-10, was open only to Fellows of the American College of Coverage Counsel, a prestigious organization comprising some of the most distinguished coverage attorneys in the U.S. and Canada.
Hammond, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on matters relating to property insurance coverage, fire and explosion cases, and bad faith. He also serves as an expert witness on insurer bad faith and as an adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at Loyola University Chicago Law School. In addition, he is a member of Loyola University Chicago’s Board of Trustees and Past President of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
