Benjamin Wilson Published in Research Handbook on Intellectual Property Exhaustion and Parallel Imports

Benjamin Wilson, an associate in our St. Louis office, has co-authored a chapter in the Research Handbook on Intellectual Property Exhaustion and Parallel Imports, edited by Profs. Irene Calboli and Edward Lee. Wilson and co-author Prof. Yvette Liebesman from St. Louis University School of Law contributed a chapter entitled, “Trademark Exhaustion and the Internet of Resold Things.” The Handbook explores issues related to the principle of exhaustion of intellectual-property rights, including copyright, patent, and trademark rights. The application of exhaustion varies from country to country, and there is increasing pressure to clarify the extent of its application both at the national level and in the context of international trade with respect to parallel imports.
