Chicago Office Adds Environmental Attorney
Brian J.D. Dodds has joined HeplerBroom in its Chicago office as an associate. Dodds focuses his practice on environmental law, assisting clients with enforcement, permitting, rulemaking, and compliance issues before both state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He is licensed to practice in Illinois.
In 2016, Dodds obtained his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Certificate in Environmental and Energy Law. While in law school, he was on the Dean’s List, was Managing Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law, and served as Vice-President of the Moot Court Honor Society. In addition, he received five CALI Awards for Excellence. Dodds also holds an M.A. in Political Science (which he earned as a Fellow in the Civic Leadership Program) and a B.A. in English Literature, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Prior to joining HeplerBroom, he was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mary L. Mikva of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, and for the Honorable Celia G. Gamrath of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
