HeplerBroom Makes $3,500 Donation to Edwardsville Community Senior Citizens

The air conditioning unit at the Main Street Community Center in Edwardsville was 27 years old when it finally gave up a couple of weeks ago. HeplerBroom lawyers heard the news that the community center was in need and helped with a $3,500 donation to fund a new AC unit.

Larry Hepler, Gordon Broom, and Troy Bozarth, senior partners of the firm visited the center on Thursday, September 21 to present a check. The officials at the community center were overwhelmed at the support the center has received from the firm, as well as the community.

"It has been a joy. At one time, the center was almost closing its doors," said Jerry Curran, center board member.

According to Jackie Kamp, executive director of the center, the center serves about 200 senior citizens within the community.
