Three Attorneys Join HeplerBroom as Associates

Ryan Chancellor, Andrew Gilkerson, and Weston Stoddard have joined HeplerBroom as associate attorneys. Chancellor works in the firm’s Chicago office, Gilkerson in the St. Louis office, and Stoddard in Edwardsville. All three new attorneys were part of HeplerBroom’s 2020 class of summer associates.

Chancellor concentrates his practice on the defense of civil litigation matters, including insurance coverage, commercial general liability coverage, premises liability, construction, and risk transfer. He is a 2021 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. While in law school, he won 1st place in the 2020 Capital City Challenge, a national trial competition in Washington, D.C. He was also a member of the UIC Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution programs. Chancellor is licensed to practice in Illinois.

Gilkerson focuses his practice on trials involving the defense of complex litigation matters, including product liability, commercial litigation, personal injury, and medical and dental malpractice. He received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2021. He also holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Rockhurst University. While in law school he was a Dean’s Select Scholar, was on the Dean’s List, and received several Academic Excellence Awards. He was also a member of the Business Law Association, The Federalist Society, and the Tax Club. Gilkerson is licensed to practice in Missouri.

Stoddard focuses his practice on the defense of product and premises liability, focusing on toxic torts. He is a 2021 magna cum laude graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law and holds a B.S. in Political Science from Illinois State University. While in law school, he was Managing Editor of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal, president of the Student Bar Association, and a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law. He also earned numerous CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, was on the Dean’s List, and was in the Academic Honors Program. Prior to attending law school, Stoddard was a Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent. He is licensed to practice in Missouri.
