HeplerBroom Attorneys Plan Annual Law Day Event

On May 4, the public is invited to a free Law Day celebration at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville. This year’s theme is Separation of Powers, and Judges David Dugan (Madison County), John O’Gara (St. Clair County), and Richard Brown (Randolph County) will discuss the part that the judicial branch plays in enforcing and upholding the law.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first Law Day in the United States. Created by President Dwight Eisenhower, the annual event recognizes and honors the importance of the rule of law. In coordination with the Illinois Associate of Defense Trial Counsel, the Madison County event has been planned by four Edwardsville-based HeplerBroom associate attorneys: Ali Ayanaw, Kevin Birkenmeier, Tom Mudd, and Leslie Odom. Registration will begin at 2 p.m. The panel discussion will start at 2:30, followed by a reception at 4.
