In May, HeplerBroom was pleased to host the 2019 Law Day celebration. This year’s theme was “Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society.” The event included an engaging discussion, including significant audience interaction with our distinguished panelists: Magistrate Judge Gilbert Sison (U.S. Dist. Court, So. Dist. of Illinois), Circuit Judge Dennis Ruth (Illinois Third Judicial Circuit), Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Gibbons, and Beth Hunsdorfer (St. Louis Public Radio).

Law Day was first created and celebrated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The annual event recognizes and honors the rule of law in a free society. HeplerBroom planned this year’s activities in conjunction with the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
