Jones and Westbrook to Speak to Independent Insurance Agents about Legalized Marijuana in the Workplace
Lance Jones and Kyle Westbrook will be among the featured speakers at the annual convention of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois. Jones and Westbrook will be discussing Illinois employment law updates, including the impacts of the legalization of medical and recreational marijuana, the new Workplace Transparency Act, and significant changes to the Illinois Human Rights Act, the Economic Security and Safety Act, and the Illinois Equal Pay Act. They will also cover the Statute of Repose and Workers’ Compensation/Occupational Disease Acts.
