Lance Jones has joined HeplerBroom LLC in the Springfield office as a partner. He is a trial attorney with a primary emphasis in litigation, including civil rights, employment, labor, construction, environmental, fraud, personal injury, general tort liability and criminal lawsuits. Mr. Jones has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases to verdict in both the state and federal courts of Illinois and the federal District of New Jersey, and argued before the Illinois Supreme Court, Illinois Appellate Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He has also appeared in a number of Illinois administrative venues such as the Human Rights Commission, Pollution Control Board, Department of Transportation and Illinois Commerce Commission.  Mr. Jones joins the firm after most recently serving the Illinois Department of Transportation as Deputy Chief Counsel for over nine years, managing the in-house legal service for the Department and principally responsible for managing the litigation.

Mr. Jones attended DePaul University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1984.  He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals 7^th Circuit, the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court, Central District of Illinois, and the United States District Court, Southern District of Illinois.  He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Lincoln Douglas Inn of Court.
