DuChateau and Jacobi Receive Awards from IDC

James DuChateau and Katie Jacobi were honored recently at the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s (IDC) annual meeting, which was held at the East Bank Club in Chicago.

DuChateau was named the Association’s Volunteer of the Year. He is on IDC’s Board of Directors and is the Associate Editor of IDC Quarterly, the association’s professional journal. In the past he served as Chair of the Young Lawyer’s Committee. A partner in the firm’s Chicago, office, DuChateau focuses his practice in the areas of insurance coverage and commercial law in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest and Mountain West. He has been named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers and an Emerging Lawyer by Illinois Leading Lawyers. In 2014, he was the Legal Assistance Foundation’s Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year.

Jacobi received IDC’s Rising Star award. She is Vice-Chair of the association’s Young Lawyers Committee and an Assistant Editor of IDC Quarterly. Also a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, Jacobi focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She has been named a Rising Star by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers and an Emerging Lawyer by Illinois Leading Lawyers. She writes and lectures frequently on issues related to insurance law.
