HeplerBroom Attorneys Take on Leadership Roles for Illinois Attorney Organization

At its recent meeting, the Board of Directors of the Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) appointed HeplerBroom attorneys Matthew Champlin, Robert Elworth, Amy Johnson, and Katie Fulara Vinge to leadership roles in the organization.

  • Champlin recently completed a two-year term as Supreme Court Watch columnist for IDC Quarterly and will now assume leadership of the Insurance Law Committee.
  • Elworth, who has authored numerous amicus briefs for IDC, is the new Chair of the Amicus Committee.
  • Johnson will chair IDC’s Social Media Committee.
  • Vinge will serve as Vice Chair of the Construction Law Committee.

All four HeplerBroom attorneys focus their legal practices on the defense of complex litigation matters: Champlin focuses on personal injury, product and premises liability, public utilities issues, and construction and real estate litigation; Elworth handles insurance producer and insurance coverage litigation, appellate matters, and commercial litigation; Johnson focuses on insurance law, personal injury, and property damage, as well as cybersecurity and appellate law; while Vinge concentrates on construction injury and defect as well as professional liability cases. Both Elworth and Champlin have been named Leading Lawyers by Law Bulletin Media.
