Thomas Magee has been named Best Lawyers’ 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” for the St. Louis area for both Litigation-Insurance and Professional Malpractice Law-Defendants. This is the third time Magee has been honored in the Professional Malpractice Law-Defendants category and his first year to receive the honor for his Insurance Litigation work.

A partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, Magee is no stranger to receiving professional honors. He is a past recipient of the annual Missouri Lawyer Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly for being the defense attorney with the most reported verdicts/judgments and is a multi-year honoree for being named to the list of Most Powerful Defense Attorneys in the State by Missouri Lawyers Media, Best Lawyers in St. Louis by St. Louis Magazine, and Top 50 and Top 100 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. He’s also been chosen as a Fellow in the highly selective American College of Trial Lawyers.

Magee, who is rated an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, focuses his practice on trials involving complex litigation, including trucking and transportation matters, product liability, personal injury, and commercial litigation. He’s tried over 180 jury trials to verdict, including matters in United States District Courts and the state courts of Missouri and Illinois.
