Eight HeplerBroom attorneys contributed to the recently published Illinois Defense Counsel’s (IDC) 2024 Survey of Law. This annual publication compiles case summaries and legislative updates that highlight significant developments in Illinois law over the previous year.

Belotserkovsky, an associate in the firm’s St. Louis office, focuses his practice on trials involving complex litigation matters, including the defense of asbestos cases and toxic tort issues. He has been named to the list of Ones to Watch by Best Lawyers in America.

Boeckman, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, works with medical professionals and others in the healthcare industry. She has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of Ones to Watch. Boeckman is a member of IDC’s Medical Malpractice/Health Law Committee and writes a column for IDC Quarterly, the Association’s professional journal.

Caldwell, an associate in the firm’s DuPage County office, focuses her practice on the defense of medical and dental malpractice, nursing home, and professional liability matters. She has been selected to the list of National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and has been named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Jansen, an associate attorney in the firm’s Crystal Lake office, focuses her practice on municipal law as well as construction, commercial general liability, and risk transfer matters. She is a former recipient of the Litigation Award from the Illinois Institute for Local Government Law and has been named to the list of Ones to Watch by Best Lawyers in America.

Libbra, a partner in the firm’s Edwardsville office, defends a diverse range of companies—from Fortune 500 companies to small, local businesses—against premises and product litigation claims. She is Chair of IDC’s Toxic Tort Committee and also a member of its Tort Law Committee.

Rein, a partner in the firm’s Crystal Lake office, defends contractors in construction negligence/injury and defect matters. She has been named to the list of Ones to Watch by Best Lawyers in America and is a prior recipient of the Best Under 40 Award for McHenry County. Rein is a member of IDC’s Construction Law Committee.

Vinge, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, defends clients in civil litigation, with a focus on construction injury and defect as well as professional liability. She, too, has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of Ones to Watch and is a former Vice Chair of IDC’s Construction Law Committee.

Weiner, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, defends personal injury cases, primarily in municipal and §1983 claims. She also defends construction, premises, and contractual matters, including risk transfer. She has been named an Illinois Leading Lawyer by Law Bulletin Media and is a former member of IDC’s Construction Law Committee.
