Jury Returns Defense Verdict for HeplerBroom Clients in Less Than an Hour
Bharat Varadachari secured a defense verdict in the City of St. Louis for a local university and the operator of its arena facility. Plaintiff suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle as she was crossing the street to attend a basketball game. She asked the jury to return a verdict in her favor for $27.5 million. The jury returned a verdict for HeplerBroom’s clients in less than an hour. (This is the second defense verdict Varadachari has received for clients in the past 10 months in the city of St. Louis, a venue nationally known for large plaintiffs’ verdicts.)
Varadachari, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, was assisted during the litigation by firm partner attorney Adam McGonigle and associate attorney Peter Houser. All three attorneys focus their practices on representing defendants in personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle and trucking accidents.
Varadachari has been named an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to the lists of Best Lawyers in America and Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers. McGonigle has been named to Best Lawyers’ list of “Ones to Watch.” Prior to joining HeplerBroom, Houser was an Assistant Attorney General with the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
