After a four-day jury trial, Meg Fowler, Patrick Bousquet, and Anna Kister secured a rare complete defense verdict in the City of St. Louis. Their client, a local cosmetologist and small business owner, was accused of causing the plaintiff second-degree burns, nerve damage, and permanent disfigurement during a facial waxing treatment. The team was able to successfully discredit the claim that their client acted negligently in applying the facial wax, and the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of their client.
All three attorneys practice from the firm’s St. Louis office.
Fowler, a partner, focuses her practice on trials involving multiple issues, including the defense of general personal injury, product liability, insurance coverage, professional liability, and transportation matters. She has been inducted into the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers and named to the lists of Best Lawyers in America and Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers.
Bousquet, who is also a partner, is an experienced litigator and go-to appellate attorney for clients in must-win cases. He has over 20 years of experience in complex litigation, insurance coverage, bad faith matters, and appellate work and is experienced in trying claims in both federal and state trial courts. He, too, has been named to the list of Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers.
Kister, an associate attorney, focuses on defending personal injury, products liability, and insurance law cases. Her critical thinking skills and attention to detail make her an effective storyteller and advocate for her clients. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2021.
