Overview
Margaret M. Molloy defends professional liability claims for medical and dental professionals as well as medical and long-term care facilities. She has successfully handled jury trials and obtained numerous summary judgments.
Ms. Molloy ardently believes in leaving no stone unturned when investigating factual and legal issues. She also believes an essential component to successful litigation is maintaining a productive relationship with clients through mutual understanding that’s based on open communication. Her clients consistently praise her efficient, creative, and detail-oriented approach to litigation.
She enjoys mentoring newer attorneys. She’s created and implemented an onboarding program for new associate attorneys in litigation strategy and initiated a seminar on effective writing strategy for motion practice.
Prior to joining HeplerBroom, Ms. Molloy was an Illinois Assistant Attorney General, where she represented employees in correctional and psychiatric institutions in state and federal cases for constitutional torts before moving to the private sector to represent medical professionals against state and federal claims.
Since childhood, Ms. Molloy has been an avid reader and writer with a specific interest in the legislative and legal process. Before deciding to attend law school, she worked as a legal assistant to learn the day-to-day operations of a law firm. She quickly confirmed that the correct path to utilize her talent and passion was to attend law school and be a voice for the interests of clients navigating the legal system.
