In his recent “Law Update” column for SIU Today, Eric Moch examines well-planned and executed insurance fraud schemes through the lens of a recent federal indictment for fraudulent trip-and-fall injury claims. Moch discusses how the alleged operation worked, and offered a caveat to special investigation unit professionals and defense counsel on the importance of training in weeding out these cases of organized insurance fraud.
