Benzene

HeplerBroom LLC attorneys have extensive experience defending clients in cases involving allegations of injuries due to exposure to benzene, toluene, xylene, gasoline, diesel fuel, diacetyl, and numerous other chemicals.

Benzene litigation began to proliferate in the Midwest in the early 2000s. HeplerBroom has been there from the start, successfully defending manufacturers, distributors, employers, premise owners, and oil companies in this complex, high-stakes litigation. We serve as Midwest regional counsel for a Fortune 50 client that is frequently involved in this litigation and have defended clients in toxic tort benzene suits in Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio.

Our attorneys have an in-depth understanding of the science and medicine involved in benzene litigation. We have extensive experience working with expert witnesses in this field and put this knowledge and experience to work in partnership with our clients to develop successful, cost-effective defense strategies.

Working from our firm’s six offices (Madison County, Springfield, Chicago, and Crystal Lake, Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri; and Hammond, Indiana), we handle cases throughout the Midwest. Our team of experienced trial attorneys and dedicated staff of paralegals, as well as our technological capabilities, assure our clients that the best possible resources are dedicated to their cases.

HeplerBroom is pleased to announce that its physical offices have reopened. While the health and safety of our clients, employees, and families, remain our top priority, HeplerBroom attorneys and staff are returning to our offices on full-time or modified schedules. Our offices are open to visitors and clients with scheduled appointments, with appropriate screening of visitors and social-distancing protocols. HeplerBroom will continue to follow CDC recommendations for cleaning and sanitizing.

We are very proud of the dedicated efforts of our attorneys and staff to provide great service and work product to our clients during the pandemic. This would not have been possible without the incredible support provided by the HeplerBroom IT Department and other essential personnel who supported our personnel and clients from the office locations while the rest of our teams worked remotely.

If you have questions about visiting our offices, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to seeing you in person again in the near future.
